Tsinelas Association and Cebu Bloggers Society Inc., will be having their very first outreach program together this coming 24th and 25th of April in Lut-od High School, Lut-od, Pinamungajan. This joint project is dubbed as “Getting to Know the Computer”, the Tsinelas and CBSI Computer Literacy Program 2010. This workshop aims to teach basic computer skills to 25 incoming 2nd year high school students.
Lut-od High School is located in the remote part of Pinamungajan wherein most underprivileged students don’t have the opportunity to learn the basics about computer. And, although they have around 20 computer units in their air conditioned laboratory, no one has the capability to teach them how to use it.
Tsinelas, along with CBSI’s 14 volunteers, are hoping that the 2-day computer literacy workshop will be a success. The two organizations are also looking forward for another joint project in the future, which will replicate the ongoing program.
This outreach won’t be possible without the help of the following.
